Severn Wye Energy Agency is dedicated to tackling fuel poverty, improving energy efficiency, and driving renewable energy solutions across Wales and the English border counties. The purpose-led charity is a trusted voice in sustainability, helping communities and businesses save on their energy bills and reduce carbon emissions.
Every week, Severn Wye’s energy experts are out in the community helping people with fuel debt and cold homes, recommending energy efficiency improvements, or helping communities to generate their own renewable energy. Last year, they saved people a cumulative £16 million on energy bills and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 35,000 tonnes. The organisation is in a strong financial position, with the potential to grow their services significantly. They are seeking an inspiring Chief Executive to deliver ambitious expansion plans and lasting impact.
As CEO, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of Severn Wye’s mission and business plan. You’ll work closely with the board and senior team to scale impact, secure resources, and represent the organisation nationally. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, requiring exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
● Proven leadership experience in a similar-sized charity, SME, or third-sector organisation.
● Strong strategic planning and financial acumen.
● Excellent communication and influencing skills.
● A collaborative, values-led approach to leadership.
