Paul's Place empowers disabled adults to live life to the full. Since 1995, they've supported hundreds of people, including those with cognitive and sensory impairments. Their passion is enabling people to thrive, which is achieved through activities and projects that combat isolation, connect people and build lasting friendships. They also boost health and wellbeing through social activities and foster independence by helping individuals develop new skills and enjoy enriching experiences.
The charity is entering an exciting phase of growth, following their move to a new, fully repurposed and accessible hub in Yate. They are now seeking a Day Opportunities Coordinator. This is a newly created post to deliver a vibrant programme of activities, including day activity sessions, boccia weekends, short breaks, and outreach. It’s a hands-on leadership role, managing a team of support workers and ensuring every member receives high-quality, person-centred support. You’ll also play a key role in developing new services, building relationships with families and carers, and collaborating with community partners.
We are seeking candidates with 3–5 years of experience in social care or community services, coupled with a strong track record in team leadership and successful programme delivery. Essential requirements include a thorough understanding of disability and the challenges disabled people face, alongside knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep passion for inclusion, empowerment, and human-rights-based care, combined with the personal qualities of creativity, warmth, and a collaborative spirit.
