Lilian Faithfull Care has been providing care and support services for older people in Gloucestershire for nearly 80 years. The Charity’s founding principle - a desire to improve the lives of others through care and dedication - remains central to their work. Lilian Faithfull have a firm belief that everyone should be respected and cared for as an individual and treated with dignity. They support people to be as independent as possible and focus on making each resident’s time a fulfilling chapter in their lives.

The organisation support over 350 residents, plus day guests, across six care homes, a day centre and independent living flats. They offer a comprehensive spectrum of care services, from temporary respite relief to long-term support. Their support services are tailored to individual needs, such as residential living, nursing assistance, specialised dementia care, and dignified end-of-life support. The Charity proudly adheres to its Home for Life pledge, meaning a resident will never be asked to leave for financial reasons.

To assist them with this objective, they’re seeking a Head of People & Culture.

The Head of People & Culture will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day running of the HR team, whilst helping to develop a working environment where people feel seen, understood and valued. They will ensure employees feel supported to practise the highest level of care and provide specialist HR advice to the Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership. The successful individual will refine the People Plan to facilitate the delivery of strategic aims. Furthermore, they will assist with the ongoing Digital Transformation Programme, and implement the best practices in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion across the organisation.

They are searching for innovative and people-centric candidates, with experience leading a HR team within a regulated and complex operational environment. The successful individual will have superb interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. They will have a background in managing organisational change whilst developing a culture and people strategy. Ideally, they will have experience analysing data to provide organisational insight. The Head of People & Culture must share the values of Lilian Faithfull and be passionate about improving the lives of others through care and dedication.
