Our client, Lilian Faithfull Care, is a long established Gloucestershire charity providing exceptional residential, nursing, respite and day care for older people. With over 80 years of service and deep roots in the local community, the charity supports more than 300 residents and day guests across four care homes and two adult day hubs, delivered by around 400 dedicated colleagues.
They are now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next chapter, following the planned retirement of the current CEO. This is a pivotal moment: the charity has recently reshaped its portfolio, selling two homes to strengthen financial sustainability and focus on sites with the greatest potential. The new CEO will lead the development of a long term strategy that advances care both in residential settings and in the community, while championing the charity’s core values of quality, dignity and respect.
For this role, we are keen to hear from candidates with strong business and financial acumen, gained in an organisation of comparable scale, and with experience of leading complex, multisite operations. You will bring strategic vision, commercial insight, and the ability to innovate effectively in a challenging sector landscape. Experience in the care sector is highly desirable, whether through professional or personal exposure. You will be an inspiring leader, able to motivate and develop an executive team, and confident in representing the charity externally. We are looking for someone courageous, adaptable and forward-thinking.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced CEO or an ambitious senior leader ready for their first chief executive role. You may come from the care, charity, not-for-profit, BCorp or wider service led sectors. What matters most is your ability to combine strategic clarity with operational grip, and to lead with empathy, integrity and purpose.
