Key information:

Closing date: 30th July 2025.
Wiltshire and Swindon Sport (WASP), one of Sport England's 43 Active Partnerships, is looking for a dedicated Operations Director to help drive their mission of creating a more active nation. WASP is committed to transforming lives in Wiltshire and Swindon by making physical activity accessible to everyone.
WASP champions active and healthy lifestyles across Wiltshire and Swindon. They work closely with local and national partners to ensure that physical activity is within reach for all residents, actively promoting these opportunities in communities.
The organisation tackles systemic barriers to physical activity by advocating for change with local decision-makers. They also support the county's sporting workforce by offering workshops, expert advice, and personal development opportunities. WASP are seeking an Operations Director to help develop key partnerships and expand their impact.
As Operations Director, you'll be responsible for effective business planning and resource management. You will identify and secure funding to achieve organisational objectives, and then monitor and report on their progress. As a key member of the Executive Team, you'll contribute to developing WASP's operational strategy and evaluating performance. You’ll also be instrumental in planning and implementing new projects and programs, and building external relationships that support the organisation's goals.
WASP hope to hear from strategic individuals with a proven background in business or commercial development. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative project management style and a strong track record of motivating and developing teams. You'll need to forge robust internal and external relationships and have successful experience in bid writing. Furthermore, the Operations Director will be adept at identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. You should be willing to learn and adapt to new circumstances, and be committed to 'going the extra mile' to deliver outstanding results.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role and help transform lives through physical activity and sport.
