Selwood Housing provides local, affordable homes in the South West. They develop, manage, and maintain over 7,000 quality, affordable homes for rent and shared ownership, and aim to build an additional 1,700 new homes by 2034 to help address the housing crisis. As a Charity, Selwood reinvests all surpluses back into new homes, existing properties, and community support services, benefiting local people and those in housing need. They are seeking a Non-Executive Director (NED) to join their Board.

As a Non-Executive Director, you'll report directly to the Chair, playing a key role in ensuring Selwood Housing's continued success and compliance. You will:

●      Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and funding frameworks.

●      Review and monitor the Selwood Housing Group's overall performance.

●      Manage risk effectively to safeguard the organisation.

●      Provide oversight of the company’s strategies, plans, budgets, and controls.

We're seeking candidates with strong strategic experience at a senior Executive (C-Suite) level, ideally with previous NED or Trustee experience. You'll have a proven track record in the housing sector, particularly in leading housing operations, championing consumer standards, and driving effective customer engagement. Based within a commutable distance of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, you'll be eager to add value to your local community and bring local knowledge and expertise to the Board.

This is an exciting time to join Selwood Housing. The organisation is planning significant investments in its existing homes, prioritising areas its customers care about most, such as repairs, safety, and environmental efficiency. Plus, with a current pipeline of over 500 new homes, you’ll be helping Selwood deliver even more affordable housing for local people.

If you're ready to make a significant impact within a community-focused organisation, we want to hear from you.
