Moon Executive Search appointed by Lilian Faithfull Care for the recruitment of a new Chair.
An opportunity to join the Board of Lilian Faithfull Care has become available. Lilian Faithfull Care is a charity and they are in care for the right reasons, not for profit, and through their ‘Home for Life’ pledge, they will never ask a resident to leave their homes for financial reasons. The charity was established in 1946 by Lilian Faithfull and has remained true to the founding principles of the charity; “a desire to improve the lives of others through care and dedication.”
In addition to being conversant with statutory obligations, the Chair of Trustees is pivotal both in terms of offering leadership and support to the Board of Trustees and the CEO.
The Board of Trustees is keen to hear from people especially with:
Experience from a similar role in a not-for-profit organisation as a Chair or Trustee.
Strong business and financial acumen.
An understanding of the difference between governance (the responsibility of the Chair) and executive management (the responsibility of the CEO).
The Chair will ideally be based within comfortable travelling distances of the Cheltenham area.
