Earth Day 2022 and Our Investment to The Planet

This year’s Earth Day theme is to ‘Invest in Our Planet’ and we wanted to share with you our commitment to lowering carbon emissions on the planet.

Earlier this year we signed up to Ecologi a platform being utilised by many companies to combat climate change.

Ecologi believe that reducing our carbon footprint is entirely necessary, but the transition of change is far slower than the time we have remaining.  The tools that we associate with fighting climate change are inadequate. What if that changed and the billions of us who care became empowered?

There are enough climate solutions out there right now, that if we supported them, it would undo 30 years of carbon damage by avoiding 1,500 billion tonnes of CO2. This is our opportunity.

So, how does Ecologi work?

Moon Executive Search is a ‘Business’ subscriber which means our commitment is to offset the carbon footprint of every employee’s life, as well as offsetting any business travel. Here’s what we’ve contributed so far since joining in January 2022:

We’re planting trees across a number of international projects.

Mangrove planting in Madagascar.

Planting forest gardens in Uganda.

Forest restoration in Kenya.

Reforestation projects in the UK.

Reforestation projects in Mozambique.

We’ve currently offset 21.18 tonnes of carbon reduction, by supporting a number of projects across the globe, such as:

Generating clean electricity from hydropower in India.

Wind power generation in Bac Lieu Province, Vietnam.

First ever Wind Power Project in Honduras.

Wind Power Project in Mexico.
