For over 20 years, the Charity has been empowering local people to come together and take collective action. Their main activities include:

-       Working with communities to find and deliver solutions

-       Providing high-quality services to develop voluntary organisations

-       Supporting community groups to share expertise and become leaders

-       Ensuring the community has a strong voice, and concerns are heard

-       Promoting Active Citizenship in South Gloucestershire

The Chief Executive will provide decisive leadership for the VCSE sector in South Gloucestershire. They will work alongside the Board of Trustees to evolve the business plan through ambitious yet achievable strategic objectives. The successful candidate will inspire CVS staff to work diligently towards the Charity’s mission and develop new income generation strategies. Furthermore, they will work in tandem with various partnerships and authorities in the VCSE sector to facilitate greater engagement in South Gloucestershire.

The organisation hope to hear from candidates with strong operational and financial management skills and a background delivering successful income generation projects. The CEO will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
