Through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming, as well as preventative community support for pet owners, the charity plays a vital role across the region.
They are now seeking to appoint a Chair of Trustees to lead the Board and support the organisation through an exciting period of development. The Chair will act as the key link between Trustees and the executive team, providing leadership, oversight and strategic direction.
The Chair will play a central role in shaping long-term strategy, ensuring delivery against business plans and financial oversight, and maintaining strong governance practices. You will foster a positive and inclusive Board culture, encouraging collaboration and constructive challenge, while ensuring compliance with Charity Commission requirements and the organisation’s governing framework.
For this role we are keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate:
Previous involvement in the charity or voluntary sector
Experience of chairing a board, or equivalent board or senior leadership experience in a mission-led organisation
Able to communicate complex information to the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders
Understanding of charity governance, fundraising and finance
Knowledge of trustee responsibilities and legal duties
Able to work within a team to solve problems
Commitment to the mission and values of Bath Cats and Dogs Home and the RSPCA
This is an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in a respected and growing charity, helping to shape its future and make a meaningful difference to animal welfare and the communities it serves.
