All Saints Church Lands Charity seeks CEO
Key information:
Location: Brunswick Square, Bristol, UK.
Part-time: 30 hours/week.
Salary: £competitive.
Closing date: 11th September 2025.
All Saints Church Lands Charity manages All Saints House, an almshouse in Central Bristol with a rich history in the local community. The almshouse provides comfortable accommodation for older individuals, enabling them to enjoy a high standard of independent living within a secure, friendly environment.
The Charity has an ambitious plan to convert the current almshouse into an intergenerational living community. This model, proven to be very successful in Europe, involves younger residents providing 4 hours per week of social support. In exchange, they receive subsidised accommodation and the opportunity to make a difference as part of a community. This results in older residents experiencing a higher quality of life, feeling more connected to their communities, and living independently for longer. The University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) are both strong supporters of the development. You can learn more about the plans here.
All Saints Church Lands Charity is seeking a dynamic, compassionate and highly organised Chief Executive. As CEO, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of All Saints Almshouse, a small portfolio of investment properties, and the five-year programme to transform All Saints House into a new, £9m intergenerational housing community.
This unique role requires a blend of skills, as you’ll be responsible for the running of an almshouse, a Charity, asset management and a major redevelopment project. You will also manage the temporary rehousing of the current residents of All Saints House while the new almshouse is built.
On behalf of the Charity, we are seeking candidates with a proven track record in program/project management, preferably in housing, construction or regeneration. The ideal candidate would also be experienced in fundraising, property management and social work. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, which can be applied to work compassionately with residents and assertively with stakeholders. Furthermore, the CEO will have strong financial skills and a clear understanding of safeguarding.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver one of the most exciting charitable housing projects in the UK.
