Alliance Homes is an ambitious housing association that owns and manages over 7000 homes, 1600 other properties and offers a range of support services to their communities. They operate primarily in North Somerset, with some activities in the surrounding local authority areas.
Alliance Homes were seeking a Chief Financial Officer. They entrusted us to conduct the search based on our proven success in placing senior leaders for similar organisations. This marked the start of our collaboration with Alliance Homes, and we were eager to identify a CFO who could help translate their strategic vision into results.
While several candidates met the technical requirements of the role, one candidate demonstrated a combination of expertise, experience, and cultural compatibility. We were particularly impressed by their ability to translate financial strategy into tangible results. Based on our assessment, we recommended Jon McMahon for the CFO position, a decision that was unanimously supported by the Alliance Homes leadership team.
Jon McMahon is a skilled relationship builder with over two decades of financial leadership experience. His extensive property development expertise, combined with an entrepreneurial nature, makes him an ideal fit for Alliance Homes. As Finance Director at PG Group, Mr McMahon was instrumental in the delivery of landmark regeneration and new build projects, including the Carriage Works development in Bristol. His experience securing funding for key projects will help Alliance Homes achieve their long-term objectives.
