(Closed) Milestones Trust seeking new Board Trustees

Voluntary – unremunerated, Bristol

Approximately 1.5 days per month time commitment

Milestones Trust is a charitable organisation with a 36-year history of offering safe, person-centred support to people with learning disabilities and enduring mental health needs. A lot has changed since they began supporting people, and they now need talented and committed people to join the Trustee Board to shape the organisation’s direction, as they develop and implement a new strategy.

They are a values-led organisation running services throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset, which supports around 750 people in specialist residential, nursing and supported living services, along with respite services, day opportunities, groups and community projects.

Owing to the retirement of several longstanding members, the Board is seeking two new Trustees to provide guidance to the Executive Team and hold them to account.

Trustees need to have a strong interest in health and social care. They should have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Working in Property, Estate management, Social Housing, Surveying, or an Architectural Practice at senior level.

  • Adult Social Care and / or the commissioning of Social Care Services.
