(Closed) Largest GP Federation in England, One Care, Seeks CEO

Moon-executive-search-one-care

Amplifying the voice of general practice in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, One Care (BNSSG) CIC is the largest GP federation in the country. It comprises and represents all 76 GP practices in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). It was appointed by GPs to represent them and is formally recognised and valued as their representative body by the Integrated Care Board (ICB). This means it stands shoulder to shoulder with its peers: hospital trusts, local authorities, community and mental health provider organisations, in steering and shaping our Integrated Care System.

One Care is central to a system that provides care to an expanding population of around 1.1 million people. One Care’s GP Collaborative Board (GPCB) – its representative and decision-making forum – is where system decisions can be ratified by general practice. The GPCB represents the strength of BNSSG general practice, which rests with One Care’s CEO and executive team.

One Care’s member practices provide care to diverse populations, across deprived inner city, leafy suburbs, costal retirement neighbourhoods, and rural communities. This mix helps drive innovative solutions to problems and has already started to provide better health care to populations that may have had difficulties getting care in the past. It is a core part of One Care’s culture and commitment to bring better healthcare to our whole population.

They are now seeking a CEO to lead the organisation. The successful candidate does not necessarily need to have healthcare experience, but it may be a distinct advantage. Robust, sensitive, politically astute candidates are also encouraged to request a full candidate briefing pack.

The new CEO will share the values of the wider organisation and have the drive to take One Care to the next stage in its development. Their raison dêtre is to represent practice members and lead developments that allow them to overcome the challenges they face, improve patient care, and thrive.

The new CEO will need to show drive and ambition, with evidence of this capability in their career. Great communication skills and the ability to influence, shape, and steer in a complex adaptive environment are some of the key strengths we are looking for. The individual will spearhead system change where there are no direct levers to make those changes happen. The ability to engage and influence system partners is paramount.
