Milestones Trust supports adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live their best lives.   Founded in 1986, the Charity offers a wide range of services, from residential care homes and supported living to community projects and day opportunity groups. They operate throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset - helping people live happy, meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Their vision is to ensure people have the chance to live happy and fulfilled lives. This is achieved by promoting health, well-being, independence and engagement. In recent years, Milestones Trust has implemented a new organisational strategy, including technological advancements, streamlined processes and a reshaped management structure. They are searching for a Director of People & Culture with the expertise to build on these successes and mould the future of the organisation.

The Director of People & Culture will provide strategic leadership and operational management to the People team - ensuring their service is excellent, proactive and efficient. They will work closely with the Board and CEO to define culture development and lead an organisational design. The successful candidate will drive the organisation forward, ensuring they attract and retain the best talent. Furthermore, they will be responsible for maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture - where employees feel supported, valued and have a sense of belonging.

They are seeking a strategic and innovative thinker who can translate strategy into operational plans. The Director will be MCIPD or FCIPD Qualified with a background in HR Management and Planning. The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering culture change and people engagement projects, alongside experience implementing people-focused policies to deliver organisational goals. They will be a results-driven leader who thrives on building an effective culture and displays a passion for people’s growth and development.

The Director of People & Culture will join a strong Executive team, focused on harnessing expertise to facilitate ambitious growth plans.
